After learning several partner dances (a French equivalent of East Coast Swing, lindy hop, salsa), and thanks to my salsa teacher, I discovered West Coast Swing. I’d finally found THE partner dance that was meant for me!
Back then, there were no West Coast Swing instructor in Rennes, so I decided to buy DVDs from Canadian and American champions to learn with a friend. After a month of training, we went to Paris for an event with Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollman, the best West Coast Swing dancers in the world, what a treat! After that, I attended as many WCS events as possible, took privates, in France, in Europe and in the United States with some of the best dancers in the world. I still take privates and attend events very regularly.
The achievement I am most proud of : my second place at the US Open (the biggest West Coast Swing competition in the world) in the Pro-Am Routine category (a choreography between a professional WCS dancer and an amateur), with all the complexity of working with someone from another continent. and my goal is to share my passion for this dance. I make a point for my classes to be fun and dynamic !
